Essie For The Twill Of It

Hey there! I am SUPER EXCITED to show you guys For The Twill Of It by Essie. This polish is stunning. It took so many pictures. I took them both inside under direct light and outside. The outside pictures are much better because the sun reflects off the polish and shows the green and purple.

Oh, i'm so excited I forget to tell you guys about the storm we had today. Our power was out for like 5 hours. There was a lot of rain and winds, but I still had to take a test right threw it. I also had to clean up outside because things were flying right and left. So now that I told you about the storm, here are some pictures of Essie's For The Twill Of It.

Molly 'n' Me Magnetic Polish

Hey ladies and gents! Today I left the house for the first time since my surgery. I went to the library. I personally love the library. I am a huge book reader. Give me any young adult book and I will read it. They also have cds there. So I got like 10 cds. So pretty good day for me. How about you guys?

This is yet another polish I got when I was in the hospital. Have you girls every heard of the brand Molly 'n' Me? I never have. Not once. But their polish is super pretty. I think my aunt got this one in the gift shop of the hospital? I'm not a hundred percent sure or anything. Another plus of this polish is that the magnet is really easy to find. Its right on the top of the bottle. On my other magnetic polish it was really difficult to find (Revlon Reality Star). This polish has no name. Here is two coats with the magnet.

Pure Ice Can't Stop

I'm back! The last 2 weeks were some of the weirdest, shittest days of my life. I managed to have TWO surgeries, go to two hospitals, ride in an ambulance, and get a ton of emotions all at once. So yeah, sorry I was gone. I wanted to blog but I had to take an easy and recover. I'm still recovering but at least I can sit in a chair now!

So while I was in the hospital my aunt brought me some gifts (Thank you!!) and here is one of the polishes I got. It is Pure Ice Can't Stop. I personally love this color but hate the formula. I had to use 3 coats and it took a really long time to dry. Plus the stuff started to chip like instantly after it was dry. But it was beautiful while it lasted!

August 2013 Favorites

So i'm finally up and recovering from surgery. Well I probably still shouldn't be up but blogging is pretty dang important! Happy Labor Day everyone! If not laying in bed, I'm getting sad about school starting tommorow. Nothing will change with the blog or anything, but I just don't really like school. So I should have originally done the August favorites yesterday, but I really didn't feel like pushing myself. So here are some of my favorites that I got in August!

Maybelline Great Lash Mascara:

This is my only makeup favorite from this month. Actually this is my only makeup product I bought this month. But that doesn't matter because I am seriously in love with stuff. I had to go on an emergency dash to Target for mascara and picked out the cheapest stuff I could find. I found Great Lash Mascara by Maybelline for $4.99. This stuff is amazing. I only need one coat and it makes my lashes look very full and not clumpy!

Equaline 100% Acetone:

So before I bought this, I couldn't really see the difference between 100% acetone and normal polish remover. Now, I'm a believer. I actually still use the normal polish remover for removing my nail polish. But I use acetone for clean-up. And let me tell you guys, it is amazing.

Here is a pic without acetone clean-up:

And here is a pic with acetone clean-up:

See how much cleaner it looks? I love it!

ELF Professional Eye Liner Brush:

This is the brush I use for the clean up. This brush works great and is only a dollar so it is really easy to replace.

Julie G Ornamental:

I love love love this polish! It is a gold shimmery polish. This is 2 coats!

Revlon Reality Star:

Without magnet:

With magnet:

I love this polish. It is my first magnetic polish. It comes from the Star Attraction collection from Revlon. I really want to get the rest of them!

ELF Dream Maker:

Elf Dream Maker is a glittery polish. It has a clear base and silver hexagons and smaller little silver glitters. I love this glitter. It is one of my favorite glitters out there!

My Long Weekend in The Hospital

Hey guys! Do you know how amazing it is to be sitting at home, doing a blog post again? I have been in the hospital sense Thursday. I had to have my appendix removed on Thursday, then I was recovering until this morning. Needless to say, I have been in a ton of pain and haven't been able to make up a blog post.

On Thursday, I woke up with severe stomach pains and went back to sleep until about 3 pm. Then my mom came home and took me to the hospital. They did a CAT (Is it CAT or KAT, sorry i'm all drugged up! ;)) scan on my stomach and it turned out that I had appendicitis. It hadn't burst yet so we moved quickly. About an hour later I was in a prep room, getting ready for surgery. They put me out and I don't remember anything until I woke up about an hour later.

I actually went home on Friday but ended up going back because I was having very severe post-surgery pain, that the medicine wasn't taking care of. So then I had a very very boring few days in the hospital with really bad food, and lots of flowers, cards, and magazines.

So now I'm at home and I really want to do the August favorites post but my stomach is already starting to hurt, so don't count on it. The most shocking thing is that I was able to have the same nail polish color on for four days! ;)

So i'm going to go take it an easy and hopefully I will have a favorites post up tommorow!

Red & Gold Nail Art

Hello fellow nail polish lovers! I was looking threw my past posts and realized that I haven't really been doing a lot of nail art. Because honestly I haven't been doing much of it. I am getting ready to go back to school and winding down the summer. So I have been a little busy. Plus I have been a little book worm lately.

So here is a mani that I did yesteday. I wanted to go more ancient/unique themed on this one. I'm happy with all of it but the thumb. It just looks really messy to me. I used Revlon Diva, Julie G Ornamental, and Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

Plus I would just like to add that I would love to review some indie polishes! So if there are any polish makers reading this, email me at kacenel207@gmail.com and I would love to review some! :)

Wet n Wild Dreamy Poppy & Wild Card

Hey guys! Is it just me, or is blogger acting really funny? Sometimes it won't post or save, and some times it won't let me type at all. Well let me tell you that it is very annoying. I had to click the publish button about 20 times before it would actually work yesterday. Grrrrr.

So today I made a quick stop at Target and got two Wet n Wild polishes plus some mascara. I'm gonna show you guys swatches plus something new. I am going to doing a little info space for each polish. It will include name, collection, finish, and price. I'm going to go back and do that to all of the other polishes also, but it will probably take a while.

If you haven't noticed yet, I added two new features to the blog. One is a translate gadget on the side bar. So if you speak any other language then english, you can translate to the language of your choice! I also added a hover image pinterest gadget. Now it is super easy to pin images from my blog. All you need to do is hover over the image and click on it when you see the big P!

Dreamy Poppy:

Dreamy Poppy is a hot pink with a tinge of orange in it. This polish has a pretty good formula but it does go on a little thick. This is 2 coats.

Polish Info:
Brand: Wet n Wild
Name: Dreamy Poppy
Finish: Creme
Collection: Wild Shine
Price: .97

Wild Card:

Wild Card is a shimmery purple. Okay guys, I really hate to hate a polish but I hate this one. Honestly I just put this one over Essie's Play Date. I tried it on its own but it would have token at least 5 coats. It also goes on super thick. So the formula is pretty rough on this one. But on the up side, I do like the color. This is one coat over Essie's Play Date.

Polish Info:
Brand: Wet n Wild
Name: Wild Card
Finish: Shimmer
Collection: Wild Shine
Price: .97
