“I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice how extraordinary it was.”

This. Book. Just. Yes. I loved everything about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. It was so beautifully written and gothic, yet emotional and upbeat. I have always been into books that are more dark, design and story wise. I picked this book up for it's design and because it sounded super interesting, and I wasn't disappointed.

This book also has pictures, which added so much to the book. The pictures are dark, creepy, and beautiful. When I was reading this, and saw that the next page had a picture, I would get all giddy. It is such a unique way to add to the story.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is about Jacob Portman. His grandfather dies in a mystery accident, that leaves Jacob wondering if the ridiculous childhood stories his grandpa told him are true. His grandpa told him stories of children with abilities and powers, and about a bordering school for these peculiar children. So Jacob goes to the island of the bordering school to find out if the stories are true.

If you haven't read this yet, what are you waiting for? It's so amazing! and it's going to be a movie! I can't wait!
