#31DC2015 Days 12 & 13

Yes!! I'm finally caught up on the challenge. Today I have yesterday's prompt which was stripes and today's prompt which is animal print. I also find myself stuck on animal print, not because there aren't a ton of choices because there is, but I also want to be original. Today I just said screw it and did a nice typical cheetah print.

Day 12 Stripes

Polishes used:
  • China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
  • China Glaze The Heat is On
  • China Glaze Mingle with Kringle
  • China Glaze Pinking Out the Window
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

Day 13 Animal Print

I used China Glaze The Heat is On, China Glaze What's She Dune?, and NYC Black Lace Cream. Top coat is Seche Vite.

#31DC2015 Days 7-11

It is official, I am the worst blogger ever. I mean honestly guys 5 days. To top it off I don't even have a good excuse. I've been painting my nails daily but I have been the lazy to actually blog every day. At least I got half of it down. So today I am showing all 5 designs. This post is going to take forever so I'm just going to start. My day 12 nails should be up later tonight.

Day 7 Black And White

It's a water marble that actually looks somewhat like a water marble! *takes a bow*
I used NYC Black Lace Cream and French Tip White. I topped it off with Seche Vite.

Day 8 Metallic

  • China Glaze Mingle with Kringle
  • China Glaze What's She Dune?
  • NYC Black Lace Cream
  • Magna Nails Copper

Day 9 Rainbow

#31DC2015 Day 5 Blue & Day 6 Violet

Day 5 Blue

I decided on a slight edgy floral design for day 5. The base polish is SinfulColors Bright Lucite. The black is NYC Black Creme. The flowers are painted with a nail art brush with NYC Boat Basin and O.P.I. Eurso Euro. I topped it off with Out The Door topcoat.

Day 6 Purple

I used:
  • SinfulColors Mad About Hue
  • Nina Ultra Pro Boys 'N' Berries
  • NYC Purple Pizzazz Frost
  • Sally Hansen Deep Purple
  • SinfulColors Truth or Lavendare
I drew this design free hand with a nail art brush. I topped it off with Out The Door topcoat.

#31DC2015 Days 3 Yellow & 4 Green

Hey guys. I was sick yesterday so today I have both days 3 and 4 on the blog. The prompt for day 3 is yellow and for day 4 its green. I have a lot of pictures to show you so I'm just going to jump right in!

Day 3 Yellow

The base for this design is SinfulColors V.I.Peach. I used SinfulColors Hazard and O.P.I. OY-Another Polish Joke! for the chevron design. I topped it all off with NYC Matte Me Crazy.

Day 4 Green

Some nail days are just bad okay. I tried my hand at the green prompt 4 times, but I just kept screwing it up. So I ended up settling for this design. I used NYC Palm on The Beach, Ulta Mint Condition, and China Glaze Pine-ing For Glitter. The stud is from The New Black. I again topped it off with NYC Matte Me Crazy.

#31DC2015 Day 2 Orange

Good afternoon everyone! Today is day two of the 31 Day Challenge and today's prompt is orange. Orange is actually my favorite color! I decided to do a simple but pretty gradient because I'm lazy. I had a hell of a time trying to clean my cuticles for this one but I think they turned out okay.

I used a makeup sponge to create this gradient. I used the colors NYC Hamptons Peach and NYC Sweet Melon. I topped it off with Out The Door top coat.

#31DC2015 Day 1 Red

This is kind of a really impromptu dumb decision on my part. I mean I'm starting college classes, high school classes, and volunteering at my library this month. Yet I'm still deciding to do The 31 Day Challenge. I will probably end up combining days into one post and being super lazy. But I decided to do it because I love doing this challenge every year and it always makes me a stronger artist.

I used reinforcement labels to make this half moon manicure. I used China Glaze The Heat is On and O.P.I. Today I Accomplished Zero. I finished with Out The Door top coat.

Starting College off With Some Gradients

Hey guys. I feel super bad that I haven't blogged in a while! But I actually have a good excuse this time. I started college last week. So I have either been in class, doing homework, or being really nervous the whole week. I hope to start up a normal blogging schedule soon. For now here is a glittery tribal gradient I did a few weeks ago.

For this design I used O.P.I. My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours! and OY-Another Polish Joke! I used a black stripper from So Easy to free hand the tribal design. I finished with Seche Vite.

China Glaze Art You Looking Tribal Kit Swatches

Hey guys! Sorry I know its been a while. I don't really have an excuse, I have just been super lazy. Basically all I have been doing is sleeping, eating, doing some nail art, and watching Smallville. But today I have some swatches for you of the Art You Looking Tribal kit from China Glaze. This kit contains 3 polishes from their 2015 summer collection called Desert Escape. The kit also came with a black striping polish but I didn't take any pictures with that.

China Glaze Rain Dance The Night Away:
Rain Dance The Night Away is a beautiful bright turquoise creme. This is my favorite of the kit. I really really love this polish. I can't express my love for this in words. In addition to the beautiful color that this polish is, the formula is also amazing. Shown below is two coats without top coat.

China Glaze The Heat is On:
The Heat is On is a bright orangish red creme. I wouldn't really say that this is your typical red because I
think that there is a hint of orange in it. My pictures below are a little bit more orange that they are in real life. Shown is two coats without top coat.

China Glaze What's She Dune:
What's She Dune is a sand colored nude creme. I really like this polish because I use nude in so many of my nail art designs. It also just looks good if you are trying for a more work appropriate manicure. The formula was great as usual for China Glaze. Shown below is two coats without top coat.
