#31DC2015 Day 26 Inspired by A Pattern

Hello friends. In my attempts to catch up with the 31 Day Challenge, I have day 26 today. Day 26's prompt is "inspired by a pattern". I have been seeing all of these pineapple patterns everywhere and really wanted to try it. I also added a gradient and a water marble to it.

Polishes:
  • NYC French White Tip
  • China Glaze Community
  • NYC Palm on The Beach
  • China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

#31DC2015 Day 2 Orange

Good afternoon everyone! Today is day two of the 31 Day Challenge and today's prompt is orange. Orange is actually my favorite color! I decided to do a simple but pretty gradient because I'm lazy. I had a hell of a time trying to clean my cuticles for this one but I think they turned out okay.

I used a makeup sponge to create this gradient. I used the colors NYC Hamptons Peach and NYC Sweet Melon. I topped it off with Out The Door top coat.

Starting College off With Some Gradients

Hey guys. I feel super bad that I haven't blogged in a while! But I actually have a good excuse this time. I started college last week. So I have either been in class, doing homework, or being really nervous the whole week. I hope to start up a normal blogging schedule soon. For now here is a glittery tribal gradient I did a few weeks ago.

For this design I used O.P.I. My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours! and OY-Another Polish Joke! I used a black stripper from So Easy to free hand the tribal design. I finished with Seche Vite.

#31DC2 Day 27 Gradient

Good afternoon! How has your day been? My day has been rather uneventful with only school work and coffee. I am hopefully going to meet up with my cousins at a book signing later today. But now I am excited to share a weird version of a gradient for you all.

Today I am continuing on with the 31 Day Challenge 2.0. Today is day 27 and the prompt is gradient. I decided to do something a little different with this. It is more of a rough scratchy gradient with some textured polishes. I didn’t use a makeup sponge, just a nail art brush. I laid down a base of Rimmel London Sweet Lavender. I used the following polishes for the gradient: Zoya Dhara, OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby, Nicole by OPI Hit the Lights, OPI Get Cherried Away, OPI A Grape Affair, and Nina Ultra Pro Orange Flame.

12 Days of Christmas Challenge: Day 1 Snowflakes

I love challenges. Its nice to have an idea when going into nail art and fun challenging myself! So I joined a group on Facebook called Challenge Your Nail Art! They have little prompts for short weeks and other fun challenges. This is the 1st day of the Christmas Challenge and the prompt is snowflakes. And I'm happy to share my awesome snowflakes & gradient with you all! FYI: I'm sorry about the bad lighting in these pictures, the sun had already gone down when I finished these, so I had to go for artificial lighting!

First I did the gradient with NYC Purple Pizazz, Orly Skinny Dip, and NYC Skyline Blue. The snowflakes are free handed in NYC French White Tip. The glitters are from the dollar store. I topped it all off with Essie Good to Go!

Nailing The Book: Silver Shadows Nail Art

Hey guys! I am super excited for today's post. The Bloodlines series is a spinoff series by Richelle Mead. It is also my favorite series ever. So I was super thrilled when the latest book (Silver Shadows) came out about a month ago. And god, I was not disappointed. The book was my favorite of the whole series and probably just my favorite book in general. So of course, I had too do some nail art!

Silver Shadows (Bloodlines, #5)

Also, look at that cover! Its so perfect, except for that one piece of hair in Sydney's forehead at the top. I don't know, maybe its just me. Anyways, my nail art is based on the flowers/vines/swirly things on the cover and I have a slight gradient in the back ground. I used NYC Sidewalkers, NYC Black Velvet, and Rimmel London White Hot Love for this design. I free handed it with a nail art brush. Also to add effect the gradient is matte but I did the rest of the design in normal shine. For the matte I used NYC Matte Me Crazy.

Streaky Gradient Nail Art

Hey guys! It has been a very lazy weekend for me, mostly just reading, painting my nails, and watching TV. But today I have some very old nail art for you all. These have been just sitting in my blog folder forever and I'm finally pulling them out today. They are very simple but I love them.

I used Sinful Colors Pink as my base for all of my nails. The glitter is a mix of Pure Ice Endless Fortune and Elf Gold Star. The polishes in the gradient are Nicole by OPI Light Me Up, Sally Girl OMG, and Nina Ultra Pro Orange Flame. I made the gradient by painting the nail SC Pink, then laying down striping tape. Then I painted the orange in the middle and the pink on the left and etc.. letting them blending together while they were still wet. I topped it off with Essie Good to Go.

I'm Back, Here's Some Nail Art!

Hello everyone! I am soo sooo sorry guys! I have been so busy with work that I haven't had any time to blog! I hope that it will slow down now after training though. Then I had to switch computers and export and import all my blog stuff, so that took a while. But I'm back with some nail art today!

I did this design a while back so I remember nothing about why I did it, or inspiration. But I still like it and thought I would post it today!

For this design I used China Glaze Celtic Sun as the yellow neon base. Then added NYC Disco Inferno and a star from Star Crossed Lovers by Fingr's. For the gradient I used OPI Jade is the New Black and China Glaze Celtic Sun. Then I added the white with NYC French White Tip. Then I finished it off with Essie Good to Go.

Striping Nail Art Using All e.l.f. Products

Hey guys! I am feeling much better today! So I have another post for you guys today! I did these a few weeks ago actually, but they kind of hide themselves in all of the folders on my computer. I used all e.l.f. nail polishes for this design! I will listen them all below and give a brief descripition of how I did it!

Oh and I should have another post tomorrow, and one that I'm very excited about! Tomorrow is the Lacquer Legion's day for their lucky prompt. I'm actually painting them right now! I am going to paint my good luck charm on my nails. But that is all I'm going to say for now!

For this design I used e.l.f Pot of Gold for my base for all of my nails. Then I put striping tape done on my middle and ring finger and filled in with different colors! You have to be careful to not go over the tape, and into another section but I think its pretty easy. Then I took the striping tape off. For the gradient colors I used e.l.f. Sunflower, Mango Madness, Flirty Fuchsia, and Electric Fuchsia! I topped them off with Seche Vite Top Coat. You can buy all of these nail polishes here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day! Make sure you get your nails ready for tomorrow's prompt!

Nailing The Book: Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

Speak

Hey. There are some books where I really need to do my nails based on the outside, because the inside is soo depressing. Here is my review, if you want to check it out.  That is where I had a problem with Speak. If you have read this book, you know what I mean. So then I was left to make some art out of the front cover. I mean the front cover itself isn't bad.
But making nail art out of it? Well that was a little difficult. I knew right away that I was going to do a tree somewhere, but then I was fresh out of ideas.

I ended up with a tree (maybe?), a gradient like the leaves and some good old glitter to come to the rescue.

I used Elf Desert Haze, L.A. Colors Black Velvet and Elf Smokin' Hot for the tree. I drew it with a nail art pen and dabbed on some red to brighten it up!
The glitter is Elf Gina Girl. Its so beautiful!
For the gradient I used Elf Smokin' and Elf Mod Mauve.
I topped all of them of with Seche Vite top coat!

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Birthday Nails

Hello everyone! Today is my birthday! I turn sweet sixteen and I have yet to get a license or even start my classes. I'm going shopping and out to eat later today to celebrate!

For my birthday nails, I wanted to do my favorite design: gradient. And my favorite colors: orange & blue. So that is exactly what I did! I LOVE these! The gradients are probably the best I have done. I also really like this color combo!

For the gradients I used Pure Ice Naughty Girl and China Glaze So Blue Without You.

For my pointer finger I used Elf Prissy Chrissy and China Glaze Oxidized Aqua.

For my ring finger I used Elf Prissy Chrissy and Essie Stroke of Brilliance.

I will probably do a major nail polish haul for my birthday! Thanks for reading and have a great day!
