#31DC2015 Days 12 & 13

Yes!! I'm finally caught up on the challenge. Today I have yesterday's prompt which was stripes and today's prompt which is animal print. I also find myself stuck on animal print, not because there aren't a ton of choices because there is, but I also want to be original. Today I just said screw it and did a nice typical cheetah print.

Day 12 Stripes

Polishes used:
  • China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy
  • China Glaze The Heat is On
  • China Glaze Mingle with Kringle
  • China Glaze Pinking Out the Window
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

Day 13 Animal Print

I used China Glaze The Heat is On, China Glaze What's She Dune?, and NYC Black Lace Cream. Top coat is Seche Vite.

#31DC2 Day 13: Geometric

Hey guys! Today I have the 13th design for the 31 Day Challenge 2.0. I would consider this a nail fail on my part. I mean it rocked the line of: should I just redo it or not. So I didn't because I have a lot going on. I don't really think that its awful. I don't how, oh well, we all make mistakes!

For this design I used striping tape from ebay and nail polish. The colors I used are: Revlon Midnight, NYC Black Velvet, Nicole by OPI Hit the Lights, and Sally Beauty Banana. I topped it off with Essie Good to Go. Then I made the mistake of going to bed when they weren't fully dry, which was part of my problem.

#31 Day Challenge Days 3+4

Hey guys! I know that its been forever and I'm sorry for that! My mom has been in the hospital this week and its been a little rough around here lately. But she is getting better so it should be better soon!

Today I'm making up for this week with two nail art challenges! Today I have day 3: blue or violet and day 4: primary or secondary. Also I actually did a water marble, well. So I am super excited to show you that!

For day 3 my choice is blue. I did a striped ombre with Sinful Colors Bright Lucite, Wet 'n' Wild I need a refresh mint, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, and NYC Blue Basin.

For day 4 my choice is secondary colors. I used NYC Nolita's Lavender, Hamptons Peach, and Mint'ed on Broadway for my water marble. I know that quality of these pictures aren't the best but I had to take them inside at night. It's not perfect but really my first good water marble!

#31DC2 Day 1: Red or Orange

I have already done the 31 day challenge twice, once with the blog and once without. So since it's that time of the year again, I decided to try to do this challenge. It was made by The Nail Polish Challenge, Will Paint Nails for Food, and Wondrously Polished. They are all great bloggers!

These challenge provides more difficult challenges, but it is easier because you only have to post twice a week: Monday and Thursday! But saying that, it will last two months instead of one.

At this point I'm not sure if I will get to do every day but I will sure try! Thanks to the great bloggers for making this contest!

Day 1 Red or Orange:

I decided to go for Red and Orange instead. For this design I used striping tape and a makeup sponge. There actually is a slight gradient in the orange even though it's hard to tell. I used Essie Tart Deco, Sinful Colors Feel the Vibe, OPI Coca Cola Red, and China Glaze Elfin' Around. Then I topped it with Essie Good to Go.

Fun with Striping Tape

Hey guys! We are getting so much snow here! When will it ever stop? I was looking forward to some sun, but I guess it isn't happening. Well fine mother, HAVE IT YOUR WAY. As you can tell, I'm very passionate on the subject.

To happier things, I have some nail art for you today! Striping tape has never been my strong suit. Not really sure why, but it wasn't. So I sat down a few days ago and mastered it! I did 5 designs and I gotta say that I love every one. But my thumb is my favorite. The designs aren't mine or anything, I just saw them over Google.

For this design I used OPI Love.Angel.Music.Baby for the base color on all of my nails. Then I placed down striping tape for the different designs. I used China Glaze So Blue Without You, Sinful Colors Cloud 9, Julie G Under Mistletoe, China Glaze Elfin' Around, and Sally Hansen Deep Purple.

Striping Nail Art Using All e.l.f. Products

Hey guys! I am feeling much better today! So I have another post for you guys today! I did these a few weeks ago actually, but they kind of hide themselves in all of the folders on my computer. I used all e.l.f. nail polishes for this design! I will listen them all below and give a brief descripition of how I did it!

Oh and I should have another post tomorrow, and one that I'm very excited about! Tomorrow is the Lacquer Legion's day for their lucky prompt. I'm actually painting them right now! I am going to paint my good luck charm on my nails. But that is all I'm going to say for now!

For this design I used e.l.f Pot of Gold for my base for all of my nails. Then I put striping tape done on my middle and ring finger and filled in with different colors! You have to be careful to not go over the tape, and into another section but I think its pretty easy. Then I took the striping tape off. For the gradient colors I used e.l.f. Sunflower, Mango Madness, Flirty Fuchsia, and Electric Fuchsia! I topped them off with Seche Vite Top Coat. You can buy all of these nail polishes here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day! Make sure you get your nails ready for tomorrow's prompt!

The Lacquer Legion Adoration

Hey guys! Today is The Lacquer Legion's day to post your #LLadoration nail art! If you don't know about The Lacquer Legion, is a community of girls who have a prompt every month to get you inspired! This month's prompt is adoration. The Lacquer Legion is run by The Nailasaurus, Chalkboard Nails, Rebecca Likes Nails, and Work Play Polish! You can find the Lacquer Legion Facebook page here. If you want to, you can still get on some "adoration" nails for today!

You can go about the prompt any way you want! I did these nails based on punk music, which I love! It seems kind of weird right? A nail polish addict loving punk music? Well I do! Some of my favorite bands are Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Mayday Parade, and All Time Low.

My pinkie finger is Fall Out Boy's logo and my ring finger is Paramore's logo.
I used Sally Hansen Posh Plum, Silvery Streamers, and Gun Metal, Wet n Wild Disturbia, and Sally Hansen Wine Not.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Black & Gold is All I See

Hi friends! It seems like I am never doing nail art, just to do nail art. I am either doing it for a challenge or nailing the book. I never seem to do nail art, well, just to do nail art. I used to all the time. So I want to get back to that! Today I have nude, black, and gold nail art.

The polishes I used in this design are:
-L.A. Colors Black Velvet
-China Glaze Mingle with Kringle
-NYC French White Tip
-Sally Hansen Silver Streamers

On my thumb I used a dotting tool for a dot gradient. I like this one A LOT.
For my pointer, I used striping tape.
On my middle finger, I have a sticker, and I don't remember where I got it, sorry.
On my ring finger I have Silver Streamers over Mingle with Kringle.
I did this half moon free hand. The glitter is from a pack of glitters I got at the dollar store.
I topped all of my nails of with Seche Vite.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 10 Christmas Stripes

Hey, I'm back! I just got done with a book called City of Bones by Cassandra. I will have nail art up for it sooner or later. It was probably one of the only relaxing things that I have done this week. But then I remembered that I needed to do another post today, so here I am!

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • Striping tape
  • Scissors
  • Red and Green polish

Step one: Paint your nails red

Step two: Set out your striping tape in this design. Try to make them not straight lines up and down, but more curved like I did.

Step three: Make sure they are all secure then paint green.

Step four: While the polish is still wet, take of the striping tape. Then finish with clean up and top coat!

(Essie A Cut Above is so sparkly! You can actually see the light in the photo!)

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
