Hello friends. In my attempts to catch up with the 31 Day Challenge, I have day 26 today. Day 26's prompt is "inspired by a pattern". I have been seeing all of these pineapple patterns everywhere and really wanted to try it. I also added a gradient and a water marble to it.

Polishes:
  • NYC French White Tip
  • China Glaze Community
  • NYC Palm on The Beach
  • China Glaze Metro Pollen-Tin
  • Seche Vite Top Coat

#31DC2015 Days 19 & 20

Hey guys! I got a new light bulb on Saturday for my light box. You can totally tell the difference if you look at the two different designs I'm showing you today. The light bulb I got is a daylight bulb in 5000k and is so much more lighted and natural looking. I'm really pleased with the change.

Day 19 Galaxy

I did a pastel galaxy for day 19. I always forget how much I love doing galaxy nail art until I do it. I really need to do it much often! I used Rimmel London Sweet Lavender, Rimmel London Mind The Gap, Victoria, NYC Boat Basin, and NYC Tropicoral. I used NYC French White Tip for the stars.Top coat is inm Out The Door.

Day 20 Water Marble

The thing is that I knew this water marble would be shitty because they always tend to be. Water marbles just don't like me I guess. I used O.P.I. Jade is the New Black and O.P.I. OPI...Eurso Euro. Top coat is inm Out The Door. Lets all just move on and pretend that this manicure doesn't exist. :p

#31DC2 Day 22 Glitter

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great day. Overall I had a good day and I am super excited for today's post! I did some nail art last night for the 31 Day Challenge 2.0 and it may be one of my favorite manis that I have done. The prompt for day 22 is glitter but I didn't want to just have a glitter topper over a polish. So I went for a design that I have wanted to try for a while, and added a gold glitter design over top.

My base color is Essie Naughty Nautical. Over that I randomly painted some small lines and dots with China Glaze Mingle with Kringle. After that I put some black polish over water and sprayed it with hair spray with the web effect. With some striping tape, I added the gold glitter triangles with China Glaze De-Light. I finished the design off with Sally Hansen Diamond Shine top coat.

12 Days of Christmas Challenge Days 8 & 9

Hey guys! I have been putting two days into one, for this challenge for a while and I will probably keep doing so. But I am doing the manis on time, you can see the photos on the Facebook group page if you are a member. So are all of you in the Christmas spirit yet? It has been creeping up on my lately more and lately as I make and buy gifts for my family. We still don't have our Christmas tree yet, but we will have it this weekend!

The prompt for day 8 is Christmas decorations. I decided to go for something mildly original: the star on top of the tree. I also have a water marble that actually turned out nice and some glitter. I used NYC French Tip White as my base for the Christmas tree. Then I used Sally Hansen Tan Lime and Zoya Bar. The water marble is Sally Hansen Tan Lime, Sally Hansen Green with Envy, and Sally Hansen Red Carpet. The glitter is Zoya Bar.

The prompt for day 9 is glitter. I went pretty simple with this prompt. Shown is Sally Hansen Rosey Shooter over OPI Green on the Runway. I love this combo together.

#31 Day Challenge Days 3+4

Hey guys! I know that its been forever and I'm sorry for that! My mom has been in the hospital this week and its been a little rough around here lately. But she is getting better so it should be better soon!

Today I'm making up for this week with two nail art challenges! Today I have day 3: blue or violet and day 4: primary or secondary. Also I actually did a water marble, well. So I am super excited to show you that!

For day 3 my choice is blue. I did a striped ombre with Sinful Colors Bright Lucite, Wet 'n' Wild I need a refresh mint, Sally Hansen Blue Me Away, and NYC Blue Basin.

For day 4 my choice is secondary colors. I used NYC Nolita's Lavender, Hamptons Peach, and Mint'ed on Broadway for my water marble. I know that quality of these pictures aren't the best but I had to take them inside at night. It's not perfect but really my first good water marble!

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 4 Christmas Water marble

Hey! I'm not going to make any promises about catching up on my tutorials any more, because life keeps getting in the way! I'm only one day late, so one of these days, I will have two tutorials in a day. I'm hopefully going to get my hair cut today for the holidays! I'm getting my side bangs back :)

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • 2+ christmas polishes
  • A cup with filtered or bottled water in it
  • A toothpick
  • Clean up supplies

Step one: Pick at least 2 christmas colored polishes. The best colors are red, green, a nude, or gold.

Step two: Paint your nails white or a light nude.

Step three: Drop some polish in the cup like a normal design.

Step three: Put a drop of polish in a different part of the water

Step four: Continue dropping polish in the water, they can overlap if you want to.

Step five: Continue with the drops until you have filled up the water.

Step six: Take your toothpick and swirl the polish around. If you can avoid the first drop, but it doesn't make that much of a difference if you don't.

Step seven: Dip your nail into the part of the design you like best, then take a toothpick or q-tip and clean up the excess polish on the water. Keep your finger in while doing that.

Step eight: Carefully pull your finger out of the water.

Step nine: Clean up your finger with a q-tip and acetone. Then use a brush and acetone for your cuticles. Add top coat and your done!

Thanks for reading and have a great day! :)
