The Lacquer Legion Lucky: My Good Luck Charm (2 Days Late)

They say late is better then never, right? Well on the 28th, The Lacquer Legion had its "lucky" prompt. I did these the day before but was too busy to post them! I would have normally just skipped them, but this post has a lot of meaning to me. I wear a necklace every single day. You will probably never see me without it. It has a chain from my aunt Cheryl (she is basically my second mom) and a ring that I got from my grandma when she died. It also has a cute gold heart on it. I consider it to be my good luck charm and basically a part of me.

So I painted the necklace on my nails. I really like them, even though they aren't perfect by any means. I used Elf Desert Haze as a base for all of my nails. Then I painted the chain with OPI Push and Shove. I used Julie G Ornamental for the ring and heart. I actually didn't use any top coat for this.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Striping Nail Art Using All e.l.f. Products

Hey guys! I am feeling much better today! So I have another post for you guys today! I did these a few weeks ago actually, but they kind of hide themselves in all of the folders on my computer. I used all e.l.f. nail polishes for this design! I will listen them all below and give a brief descripition of how I did it!

Oh and I should have another post tomorrow, and one that I'm very excited about! Tomorrow is the Lacquer Legion's day for their lucky prompt. I'm actually painting them right now! I am going to paint my good luck charm on my nails. But that is all I'm going to say for now!

For this design I used e.l.f Pot of Gold for my base for all of my nails. Then I put striping tape done on my middle and ring finger and filled in with different colors! You have to be careful to not go over the tape, and into another section but I think its pretty easy. Then I took the striping tape off. For the gradient colors I used e.l.f. Sunflower, Mango Madness, Flirty Fuchsia, and Electric Fuchsia! I topped them off with Seche Vite Top Coat. You can buy all of these nail polishes here.

Thanks for reading and have a great day! Make sure you get your nails ready for tomorrow's prompt!

Nail Polish Haul

Hey everyone! I know, I have been gone for a while now. Sorry about that, but I have had the stomach flu for close to a week. It has been miserable. The flu has been through my family and decided to come to me, I guess. I am just starting to get better now, but I'm still not at my best.

I went on a nail polish haul right before I got sick. I mostly went to Sally Beauty Supply but got the Sally Hansen polish at Target. I am really happy with all of these!

Sally Hansen Hypnautical:

Hypnautical is a blueish green jelly with blue and green glitters. This is the first polish that I have tried from the Triple Shine line. I ended up just using it as a glitter topper over Essie Turquoise Cacios. Here is one coat over Essie without top coat.

OPI Push and Shove:

Push and Shove comes in a special package with the base coat Lay Down That Base. Here is the package.

For a quick review of Lay Down that Base, it is incredible. It comes in a super mini bottle. It quicks super quick. Like within 20 seconds. Here is a picture of the bottle.

OPI Push and Shove:

Push and Shove is a silver chrome. It is said from OPI to have a "mirror like finish". I love this one so much, it is so original. It is almost a one coater as well. Here is two coats without top coat.

and here is a picture in the shade, where you can see its chrome finish better.

OPI I Sing In Color:

I Sing In Color is a vampy redish purple. When I first put it on, I was pretty surprised. It was purple. But it builds up to a more purplish red with the second coat. Here is two coats without top coat.

OPI Gaining Mole-mentum:

Gaining Mole-mentum has a clear base with shreded rose, gold, and silver glitters. This is from the limited edition Muppets Most Wanted collection. I saw it and just had to have it. It is so pretty and just such a unique shade overall. It has great glitter build up as well. Here is two coats over Elf Bubblegum Pink.

China Glaze Travel in Colour:

Travel in Colour is an irredescent topper. This can be used mostly on top of other colors, but if you want you can use it on the natural nail. I put two coats over I Sing In Color.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Clockwork Angel Book Review

"If no one in the entire world cared about you, did you really exist at all?"

This is for sure a contender for my favorite series ever. When I read the summary of this book on Goodreads, I thought it was going to be a lose for me. I mean I'm not much of a victorian era type of person. Also, a love triangle? You need some serious talent to pull them off. But I have no clue how I ever doubted Cassandra Clare. She is for sure one of my favorite authors, right behind Richelle Mead.

This book was so beautiful. The writing was beautiful. The story was beautiful. The characters were beautiful. Everything was just so damn beautiful. I mean honestly, I might put this series in front of The Mortal Instruments. I was laughing and crying (literally) and swooning and laughing again and sighing in bliss.

Clockwork Angel is about Tessa Gray. Her brother moves from New York to London and she is soon to follow him, after her aunt dies. There warlocks called the dark sisters capture her and tell her that she has the power to shape shift into anybody. They also tell her that they have her brother and if she doesn't do what they say, he will be dead. So Tessa "changes" over and over for the sisters until a shadow hunter (demon hunter) named Will Herondale rescues her and that is where the book really begins.

Tessa is brought to the Instutite (where the shadow hunters live) and the shadow hunters help her find her brother. But while there she falls for two best friends, Will and Jem. She changes and discovers a lot about herself and her past. But most importantly, what she is.

For me, to make a book great, I need a relatable main character (or just a nice one) and a hot guy in the mix. Lucky me, I get both here. Tessa is a book lover. Need proof?

“One must always be careful of books," said Tessa, "and what is inside them, for words have the power to change us.”

oh and this one.

“Only the very weak-minded refuse to be influenced by literature and poetry.”

Need I say anything else? I think not. And Will is your typical troubled broken funny hot guy. Well maybe I shouldn't say typical because that can imply bad things. But I promise you think there is nothing bad about Will. He just has that broken sexy thing about him. And he loves books. HE LOVES BOOKS.

“Sometimes, when I have to do something I don't want to do, I pretend I'm a character from a book. It's easier to know what they would do.”

Jem is awesome too. He isn't Will but he is cool. He seems more of the friendly type, rather boyfriend material. He has some sickness, but I can't tell you because you know spoilers. But here is some proof of his awesomeness.

“Whatever you are physically...male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy--all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.”

I'm not really sure how I could possibly express how much I love this book. Cassandra Clare has created this beautiful world that I just want to bury myself into. On to Clockwork Prince!

Shopko Nail Polish Haul

I think I have broken a record. The nail polishes I am about to show you have been in my blog folder on my computer for 4 months. 4 MONTHS. I bought them in December at Shopko. Then put them in a folder and forgot about them. I'm really not even sure how I did that. But I did. So these are very old pictures, they are still fine, but not the same as now.

Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights:

Hit The Lights is a bright yellow creme. This one was on sale for just a dollar! So I had to get it. I love the color and the formula is good as well. Here is three coats without top coat.

Wet n Wild Penny For Your Thoughts:

Penny For Your Thoughts is an orange jelly with holographic hexagonal and line glitters. This one was only .50, so why not?! I wish the glitter would show more but I do like it. The formula wasn't great though, it took 4 coats and for rather watery. Here is 4 coats without top coat.

Maybelline Color Show Lavishly Lilac:

Lavishly Lilac is a crazy fun glitter polish. I can't explain this one, it just has so much going on! The formula was great as well. Here is two coats without top coat.
