12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 12 Present

Hey! I got to open one present today. It was a nail 7 step buffer (yay!), some nail polish remover, and two Sally Hansen polishes that I already have. So I'm probably going to go return them after Christmas!

For this design you will need:

-base and top coat
-nail brushes
-clean up materials
-dotting tools (optional)
-green, red, white, and black polish

Step one: Use base coat and paint your nails white or a light color

Step two: Paint about half of your nail red, from middle to your tip.

Step three: Use your green for a design on the red, I just did dots, but you can do whatever you want.

Step four: Paint a black loop on the top of the present for a bow.

Step five: Draw another loop touching the other. Clean up and use top coat!

Thanks for reading and I hope you had a great Christmas Eve!

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 11 Christmas Lights

Hey there! Today has been a busy day full of running around town and buying gifts! The stores were so busy, it was insane. I must have walked into someone at least twice. But now I got all my presents done and wrapped except one, go me!

For this design you will need:

-base and top coat
-nail art brush
-dotting tool
-white and black polish
- your choice of 2-6 polishes

Step one: use base coat and paint your nails white or a light color

Step two: paint a black curvy line going from left to right, all the way across your nail

Step three: take a small dotting tool and make a dot touching the black line, then another one touching that dot. It should look like a bulb, you may have to touch it up a little. Keep going with all of your colors. Then clean up and apply top coat!

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 10 Christmas Stripes

Hey, I'm back! I just got done with a book called City of Bones by Cassandra. I will have nail art up for it sooner or later. It was probably one of the only relaxing things that I have done this week. But then I remembered that I needed to do another post today, so here I am!

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • Striping tape
  • Scissors
  • Red and Green polish

Step one: Paint your nails red

Step two: Set out your striping tape in this design. Try to make them not straight lines up and down, but more curved like I did.

Step three: Make sure they are all secure then paint green.

Step four: While the polish is still wet, take of the striping tape. Then finish with clean up and top coat!

(Essie A Cut Above is so sparkly! You can actually see the light in the photo!)

12 Days of Christmas Tutorails: Day 7 Christmas Berries

Hey! I'm behind again... go me. But I'll get both posts up today! I have been busy because my mom has been sick and I was helping her and such! But she is getting better now. So are Christmas berries called holly berries or not? I'm not sure so I'm just calling them Christmas berries and here is a tutorial!

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • Nail brush
  • Dotting tools
  • Nude or white, red, and green polish!

Step one: Paint your nails a nude or white color

Step two: Make the outline of a leaf on your nail. I basically just did two curved zig zag lines and connected them!

Step three: Draw another outline close, but not touching the other outline.

 Step four: Fill them in!

Step five: Take a medium sized dotting tool and make 3 connecting dots in the middle of the two leaves. Then clean up and put on top coat!

Thank you for reading and have a great day!

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 6 Reindeer

Hey guys. I find it ironic that I am so ready for the holidays on my blog. I have nail art tutorials weeks before Christmas. But in my own house, I don't even have a tree up yet. Well hey, I haven't even gotten a tree yet at all. I did finish on of the paintings for my parents though! Painting nails actually doesn't transfer to some canvas skills! I might have some pics up in the next post!

Today I have the reindeer tutorial for you! Everyone knows about the reindeers and they pull Santa's sled and such. I mean, hey!, we wouldn't even get presents without them!

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • Nail brushes
  • Nail dotting tools
  • A white, nude, brown, dark brown, black, and red polish.

Step one: Paint your nails with a nude polish

Step two: Take your brown and paint a half circle at the bottom of your nails

Step three: Take a bigger dotting tool and make a circle on top of the half circle, connecting them as you do.

Step four: Make a red dot at the bottom of the reindeer's head

Step five: Take your white and make two dots right next to each other for the eyes

Step six: Take a smaller dotting tools and make black dots in the white ones.

Step seven: Take your nail art pen and draw two lines coming from the head, going up.

Step eight: Try lines coming out of the original lines. Finish up with cleaning up and top coat!

  • A white polish, a red polish, and a nude polish

Step one: Paint your nails a light nude color

Step two: Paint a red triangle on your nails like the picture above.

Step three: Use your dotting tool and make small intersecting circle on the bottom of the red triangle.

Step four: Make a dot on the top of the triangle. Clean up and use top coat, then your done.

12 Days of Christmas Tutorials: Day 4 Christmas Water marble

Hey! I'm not going to make any promises about catching up on my tutorials any more, because life keeps getting in the way! I'm only one day late, so one of these days, I will have two tutorials in a day. I'm hopefully going to get my hair cut today for the holidays! I'm getting my side bangs back :)

For this design you will need:
  • Base and top coat
  • 2+ christmas polishes
  • A cup with filtered or bottled water in it
  • A toothpick
  • Clean up supplies

Step one: Pick at least 2 christmas colored polishes. The best colors are red, green, a nude, or gold.

Step two: Paint your nails white or a light nude.

Step three: Drop some polish in the cup like a normal design.

Step three: Put a drop of polish in a different part of the water

Step four: Continue dropping polish in the water, they can overlap if you want to.

Step five: Continue with the drops until you have filled up the water.

Step six: Take your toothpick and swirl the polish around. If you can avoid the first drop, but it doesn't make that much of a difference if you don't.

Step seven: Dip your nail into the part of the design you like best, then take a toothpick or q-tip and clean up the excess polish on the water. Keep your finger in while doing that.

Step eight: Carefully pull your finger out of the water.

Step nine: Clean up your finger with a q-tip and acetone. Then use a brush and acetone for your cuticles. Add top coat and your done!
