Striping Tape Tutorial

So yesterday was a big ugh day. I broke one of my nails really low. So then I had to cut them all down to that length. So needless to say, they are super short.

Today I decided to tackle a tutorial that has been on my list of to do for a while. Striping tape is actually a pretty hard thing to master for some people. But I have found a few secrets and tips along the way that I will share with you!

For getting the striping nails right you will need...

  • 2 polishes
  • A pair of scissors
  • Nail striping tape
  • A tweezers
  • Q-tips
  • Nail polish remover or acetone.

Step one:
Use the lightest of the 2 colors for your base coat. Make sure they dry COMPLETELY. It is very important or some of the polish could come of with the tape.

 Step two:
Take your tweezers and pull on the end of the tape until you have the right length. Hold your tweezers (and tape) in one hand and your scissors in the other. Then cut the tape. Use the tweezers to help you get the tape on your nails.
